Seth Michaels
CEO & Founder
Seth has over 30 years of financial services experience encompassing prime brokerage, clearing services, high net worth brokerage, secured financing, operations and information technology. He oversees Egret Securities’ management, compliance and operations.
Prior to founding Egret Securities, Seth built and operated highly profitable businesses serving hedge funds, registered investment advisors, family offices and professional traders at both AGP and Maxim Group. Seth has also held senior roles at leading financial services firms including Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Neuberger Berman, and Barclays.
Seth earned an MBA in Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Union College. He is Series 7, 66, and 24 licensed.
Dmitriy Kovalev
Managing Director, client service
Dmitriy has over 25 years of client service and portfolio accounting experience. He is responsible for all client services at Egret Securities.
Prior to helping launch Egret Securities, Dmitriy held roles at AGP Prime, Maxim Group, Steinberg Asset Management, Barclays, Lehman Brothers, and Neuberger Berman.
Dmitriy is Series 7, 63, 24, 4, 52, 53 and 57 licensed.
Edward (E.J.) Pures
Managing Director, Execution Services
EJ has over 25 years of trading experience and is responsible for the operation of Egret Securities’ electronic, outsourced, and high-touch execution services.
Prior to helping launch Egret Securities, EJ was Managing Director, Prime Execution Services at AGP Prime. Before that, he worked at Maxim Group where he traded for prime and institutional clients. Previously, EJ held roles at Convergex, BTIG, and Susquehanna.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Gettysburg College and is Series 7, 63, 24, 52 and 57 licensed.
